Liquid crystal display

A liquid crystal display comprising:

• a first substrate and second substrate facing each other;
• a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate;
• a transistor disposed on the first substrate;
• a pixel electrode electrically connected to the transistor;
• and
• a protrusion disposed on the pixel electrode, the protrusion protruding toward the liquid crystal layer,
• wherein the pixel electrode comprises a plurality of unit electrodes electrically connected to each other, each of the unit electrodes comprising a cross-shaped stem,
• wherein a unit electrode of the plurality of unit electrodes has a first edge extending in a first direction, and a second edge extending in a second direction crossing the first direction,
• wherein the protrusion comprises a first portion extending along the first edge of the unit electrode, and a second portion extending along the second edge of the unit electrode, and
• the first portion is continuously formed from the second portion in a plan view.
