Technique for controlling wireless command transmission to a robotic device

A method of controlling wireless command transmission to a robotic device, the method comprising:

• obtaining an action that is to be performed by a robotic device;
• determining a quality of control (QoC) level associated with the action;
• and
• triggering a setting of at least one transmission parameter for a wireless transmission of a command pertaining to the action, wherein the setting is dependent on the QoC level determined for the action.

A computer program product comprising program code portion for performing the operations of:

• obtaining an action that is to be performed by a robotic device;
• determining a quality of control (QoC) level associated with the action;
• and
• triggering a setting of at least one transmission parameter for a wireless transmission of a command pertaining to the action, wherein the setting is dependent on the QoC level determined for the action.

A cloud computing system configured to perform the operations of:

• obtaining an action that is to be performed by a robotic device;
• determining a quality of control (QoC) level associated with the action;
• and
• triggering a setting of at least one transmission parameter for a wireless transmission of a command pertaining to the action, wherein the setting is dependent on the QoC level determined for the action.
