Method and device for receiving system information on basis of beam information

A wireless device for receiving system information in a wireless communication system, the wireless device comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one computer memory operably connectable to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
• receiving, from a base station, information related to (i) a plurality of beams and (ii) a system information request period
• selecting a beam from the plurality of beams based on the information related to the plurality of beams;
• transmitting, to the base station and based on the information related to the system information request period, a random access preamble corresponding to the selected beam to request the system information from the base station;
• and
• receiving a response to the random access preamble from the base station, wherein the response to the random access preamble includes the requested system information.
