Multiple access point operation of a wireless network

A method of wireless communication, comprising:

• transmitting, by a station, a first message to at least one of a first network node and a second network node in a group of network nodes, wherein the first message includes transmission configuration information;
• and
• receiving, by the station, data from at least one of the first network node and the second network node in the multi-network node group based on the transmission configuration information.

A method for wireless communication, comprising:

• receiving, by a first network node included in a group of network nodes, scheduling information from a controller that controls transmissions by the group of network nodes to schedule a time to transmit a send request message to a station;
• and
• transmitting, by the first network node included in the group of network nodes, the send request message to the station at the time indicated by the controller based on the scheduling information.
