Abstract
A flexible display device includes: a display panel capable of being bent with respect to a folding line; and a metal plate disposed on the display panel and capable of being bent with respect to the folding line. The metal plate has a plurality of holes disposed on each side of the folding line, the plurality of holes being formed in a zigzag pattern with respect to the folding line.
Claims19
A flexible display device comprising:
- a display panel capable of being bent with respect to a folding line;
- and
- a metal plate disposed on the display panel and capable of being bent with respect to the folding line,
- wherein the metal plate comprises:
- a first planar portion;
- a second planar portion;
- and
- a bending portion between the first planar portion and the second planar portion and adjoining a first boundary of the first planar portion and a second boundary of the second planar portion,
- wherein the metal plate has a plurality of holes substantially overlapping the display panel, and
- the plurality of holes comprises:
- a first plurality of holes adjacent to the first boundary;
- and
- a second plurality of holes adjacent to the second boundary, and
- each of the first plurality of holes does not overlap any of the second plurality of holes when folded.
