Abstract
A method, of a user equipment, of transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving a synchronization signal block (SSB) from a base station; recovering synchronization signals from the SSB, based on at least one waveform candidates for the SSB; and obtaining system information based on the recovered synchronization signals.

A method, performed by a user equipment, of transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving a synchronization signal block (SSB) from a base station;
- recovering synchronization signals from the SSB, based on at least one waveform candidates for the SSB;
- and
- obtaining system information based on the recovered synchronization signals.
A method, performed by a base station, of transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- determining at least one waveform candidates for a synchronization signal block (SSB);
- and
- transmitting the SSB based on the determined at least one waveform candidates,
- wherein system information is obtained by a user equipment based on synchronization signals recovered from the SSB.
A user equipment (UE) for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
- control the transceiver to receive a synchronization signal block (SSB) from a base station,
- recover synchronization signals from the SSB, based on at least one waveform candidates for the SSB, and
- obtain system information based on the recovered synchronization signals.
A base station (BS) for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal in a wireless communication system, the BS comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
- determine at least one waveform candidates for a synchronization signal block (SSB), and
- control the transceiver to transmit the SSB based on the determined at least one waveform candidates,
- wherein system information is obtained by a user equipment based on synchronization signals recovered from the SSB.
