Abstract
According to various embodiments, the present disclosure provides a collimator for medical imaging. The collimator includes a perforated plate with a top surface and a bottom surface and holes distributed on the perforated plate. The holes are arranged in a plurality of groups. The plurality of groups forms a first coded aperture pattern and the holes in each of the plurality of groups form a second coded aperture pattern.
Claims20
A collimator for medical imaging, comprising:
- a perforated plate with a top surface and a bottom surface;
- and
- holes distributed on the perforated plate;
- wherein:
- the holes are arranged in a plurality of groups;
- the plurality of groups forms a first coded aperture pattern;
- and
- the holes in each of the plurality of groups form at least a second coded aperture pattern.
A collimating apparatus for medical imaging, comprising:
- a perforated plate with a top surface and a bottom surface;
- and
- a plurality of holes, wherein each of the plurality of holes extends from the top surface to the bottom surface,
- wherein:
- the plurality of holes is grouped into two or more regions of the perforated plate;
- and
- each of the two or more regions includes a coded aperture pattern formed by the plurality of holes in a respective region, wherein at least two regions have coded aperture patterns that are not identical.
The collimating apparatus of claim 22, wherein the coded aperture pattern is one of a URA array, a MURA array, a random array, and a pseudo random array.
The collimating apparatus of claim 22, wherein the coded aperture pattern in each of the two or more regions is different from each other.
The collimating apparatus of claim 22, wherein the perforated plate has a density of holes less than 50%.
A method of imaging reconstruction, comprising:
- providing a target object, a detector, and a collimator disposed between the target object and the detector;
- acquiring a measured image of the target object by the detector;
- providing a first estimated image of the target object at a first resolution;
- partitioning the collimator into multiple regions;
- calculating an estimated object image on an iteration based on forward projections and backward projections of the multiple regions;
- converting the estimated object image to a second estimated image of the target object at a second resolution, wherein the second resolution is different from the first resolution;
- repeating the steps of partitioning, calculating, and converting until a predetermined threshold is met.
