Claims125
A method for treating a blistering skin disease, comprising:
- applying to the affected areas of the skin a hypochlorous acid formulation having an amount of hypochlorous acid effective to reduce or inhibit inflammatory and/or immune processes.
A method for treating a hereditary defect in skin barrier function, comprising:
- applying to the affected areas of the skin a hypochlorous acid formulation having an amount of hypochlorous acid effective to reduce or inhibit inflammatory and/or immune processes.
A method for treating a hyperproliferative condition involving the skin, comprising:
- applying to the affected areas of the skin a hypochlorous acid formulation having an amount of hypochlorous acid effective to reduce or inhibit inflammatory and/or immune processes.
A method for treating inflammation associated with aging or damaged skin, comprising:
- applying to the affected areas of the skin a hypochlorous acid formulation having an amount of hypochlorous acid effective to reduce or inhibit inflammatory and/or immune processes.
A method for treating an immunological disorder involving the skin, comprising:
- applying to the affected areas of the skin a a hypochlorous acid formulation having an amount of hypochlorous acid effective to reduce or inhibit inflammatory and/or immune processes.
A method for treating pruritis, comprising:
- applying to the affected areas of the skin a hypochlorous acid formulation having an amount of hypochlorous acid effective to reduce or inhibit inflammatory and/or immune processes.
A hypochlorous acid hydrogel formulation:
- comprising available free chlorine (AFC) of at least 500 ppm, and which is at least 80% hypochlorous acid relative to the total of hypochlorous acid, hypochlorite, and Cl2;
- a pharmaceutically-acceptable silicate carrier for topical application;
- and sodium bicarbonate at from 500 to about 2000 mg/L.
