Device, system and method for selectively receiving data broadcast in a network

Device (1) for selectively receiving data broadcast intended for a predetermined sub-assembly of receiving devices among those that are able to physically receive the data in a telecommunication network and/or in a digital signal broadcast network, the device comprising:

• first means (2) for receiving at least one configuration datum that can be used to limit the effective reception of data broadcast to only devices determined beforehand, with the at least one configuration datum being transmitted in the framework of a point-to-point connection between an external piece of equipment and the device (1);
• second means (3) for receiving data broadcast by at least one transmitter, by radio and/or by power-line communication, with the received data broadcast comprising data determining the selectivity of the broadcast;
• at least one digital processing sub-assembly (4) comprising at least one microprocessor (5), at least one program memory (6), an interface (7) with said first means (2), an interface (8) with said second means (3), an interface (9) with means (10) for using data received by said second means (3);
• at least one memory (11) for storing all or part of the at least one configuration datum and/or of at least one broadcast transmitter identifier;
• a low-voltage power supply sub-assembly (12) supplying at least one direct voltage for supplying the hardware means of the device (1), said supply sub-assembly being supplied by at least one source of energy (13);
• at least one program (14) for determining whether broadcast data received should be used or ignored by the device (1) according to said data determining the selectivity of the broadcast, and of all or part of the at least one configuration datum and/or of the at least one broadcast transmitter identifier having been stored beforehand in the at least one memory (11).
