Network communications with optimized quality

A system for routing data in a communications network, the system comprising:

• a plurality of server nodes coupled together through the communications network;
• and
• wherein one of the plurality of server nodes is a gateway server, the gateway server configured for receiving a network request from a source to a destination, the network request associated with a path quality level, the gateway server and the source communicating using a first communications protocol;
• wherein one of the plurality of server nodes is a destination server, the destination server configured to communicate network data to a destination, the destination server and the destination communicating using the first communications protocol;
• and
• wherein the plurality of server nodes determines a plurality of possible links between the gateway server and the destination server, each of the plurality of possible links associated with one of a plurality of predictive models, each of the plurality of predictive models producing an estimate of a link quality level, the plurality of server nodes utilizing the plurality of predictive models to select a plurality of selected links between the gateway server and the destination server utilizing the plurality of possible links, the plurality of selected links forming a selected path that satisfies the path quality level, the plurality of server nodes configuring a plurality of routers at both ends of the plurality of selected links;
