Abstract
A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image. The display panel has a folding axis extending in a first direction. An optical film is disposed over the display panel. The optical film includes a circular polarizer including at least two phase retarders and one polarizer. Slow axes of each of the at least two phase retarders are located in the same quadrant of four quadrants of the optical film.
Claims7
An optical film comprising:
- a protection layer having a folding axis that extends in a first direction;
- and
- a circular polarizer disposed over the protection layer, the circular polarizer comprising at least two phase retarders and one polarizer,
- wherein slow axes of each of the at least two phase retarders are located in a same quadrant of four quadrants of the optical film, and
- wherein the four quadrants of the optical film are delineated by the folding axis and a virtual axis extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
