Abstract
Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe gesture input processing. As an example, a gesture input may be a continuous gesture input that is received through a soft keyboard application. The continuous gesture input may comprise query input and a selection of an application extension displayed within the soft keyboard application. The query input may be processed using a component associated with the application extension. A result for the query input may be provided. As an example, the result may be provided by the component associated with the application extension. Other examples are also described.

A method comprising:
- receiving, through a soft keyboard application executing on a computing device, a gesture input;
- displaying, based on at least a portion of the gesture input, one or more application extensions within the soft keyboard application;
- receiving, as part of the gesture input, a selection of an application extension of the one or more application extensions displayed within the soft keyboard application;
- processing the gesture input using a component associated with the selected application extension;
- and
- providing a result for the gesture input, wherein the result is provided by the component associated with the selected application extension.
A system comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- a memory operatively connected with the at least one processor storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to execute a method that comprises:
- receiving, through a soft keyboard application executing on the system, a gesture input,
- displaying, based on at least a portion of the gesture input, one or more application extensions within the soft keyboard application,
- receiving, as part of the gesture input, a selection of an application extension of the one or more application extensions displayed within the soft keyboard application,
- processing received query input received after the selection of the application extension using a component associated with the selected application extension, and
- providing a result for the query input, wherein the result is provided by the component associated with the selected application extension.
A method comprising:
- accessing, on a computing device, a soft keyboard application;
- providing, through the soft keyboard application, a gesture input;
- displaying, based on the gesture input, one or more application extensions within the soft keyboard application;
- receiving, as part of the gesture input, a selection of a first user interface feature of the application extension that is displayed;
- after receiving the selection of a first user interface feature of the application extension, receiving first query input;
- displaying, a plurality of application extensions within the soft keyboard application;
- receiving, as part of the gesture input, a selection of a second user interface feature of the application extension that is displayed;
- after receiving the selection of a second user interface feature of the application extension, receiving second query input;
- providing a result for the second query input, wherein the gesture includes the selection of the first user interface feature of the application extension, the first query input, the selection of the second user interface feature of the application extension, and the second query input.
