Necklace layering and detangling apparatus with integrated clasp

A method comprising:

• forming a first necklace attachment member so as to define a first plurality of apertures and a first recessed portion;
• forming a second necklace attachment member so as to define a second plurality of apertures and a second recessed portion;
• affixing a plurality of necklace clasps to the first plurality of apertures;
• embedding a first magnet in the first recessed portion;
• affixing a plurality of necklace loops to the second plurality of apertures;
• and
• embedding a second magnet in the second recessed portion, the second magnet oriented with opposite polarity toward the first magnet;
• wherein the first necklace attachment member is configured to be removably attached to the second necklace attachment member using the first magnet and the second magnet.

A necklace layering and detangling apparatus comprising:

• a first necklace attachment member having a rectangular cross section and comprising a plurality of spring-loaded ring clasps, a first magnet, a post comprising a spherical end, and a latch clasp movably connected to the first necklace attachment member with a hinge;
• a second necklace attachment member having a rectangular cross section and comprising a plurality of necklace loops, a second magnet, a socket comprising a narrowed aperture, and a latch post;
• wherein the spherical end of the post is configured to engage the narrowed aperture of the socket;
• wherein the latch clasp configured to rotate about said hinge and to engage said latch post;
• wherein the second magnet is oriented with opposite polarity toward the first magnet;
• and
• wherein the first necklace attachment member is configured to be removably attached to the second necklace attachment member using the first magnet and the second magnet.
