Location-based services

A system for effecting changes on a mobile device comprising:

• a non-transitory memory storing instructions;
• and
• a processor coupled to the memory and configured to execute the instructions to cause the system to:
• generate a geofence based on a user selection indicating a point of interest;
• detect when the mobile device enters the geofence;
• track a duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device;
• and
• effect a change on the mobile device based on the duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device.

A non-transitory machine-readable medium having instructions stored thereon, the instructions executable to cause performance of operations comprising:

• generating a geofence based on a user selection indicating a point of interest;
• detecting when a mobile device enters the geofence;
• tracking a duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device;
• and
• effecting a change on the mobile device based on the duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device.
