Virtual reality authentication

A method, comprising:

• receiving, at one or more servers on a first network, a unique identifier;
• in response to receiving the unique identifier at the one or more servers, determining a simulated three-dimensional environment and a virtual authentication object stored by the one or more servers in association with the unique identifier;
• sending, by the one or more servers, the simulated three-dimensional environment and the virtual authentication object to a separate device, the separate device capable of rendering the simulated three-dimensional environment;
• receiving virtual motion data of a virtual movement the virtual authentication object relative to the simulated three-dimensional environment at the one or more servers, the virtual motion data determined by the separate device;
• determining, using the received virtual motion data, that a user of the separate device is authorized to access a resource on the one or more servers;
• and
• sending, by the one or more servers in response to determining that the user of the separate device is authorized, an authorization message to the separate device, the authorization message granting the separate device access to the resource of the one or more servers.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a set of instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a machine, cause the machine to:

• receive, at the one or more servers, a unique identifier;
• determine, in response to receiving the unique identifier at the one or more servers, a virtual object stored by the one or more servers in association with the unique identifier;
• transmit, by the one or more servers, the virtual object and an immersive simulated three-dimensional environment to a separate device;
• receive virtual motion data of a virtual movement of the virtual object relative to the immersive simulated three-dimensional environment at the one or more servers
• determine, using the received virtual motion data, that a user of the separate device is authorized to access a resource on the one or more servers;
• and
• in response to the determination of the received virtual motion data, transmit, by the one or more servers, an authorization message to the separate device.
