Abstract
A device comprises antennas and a signal processor, and each antenna comprises antenna elements. The signal processor is configured to: receive an input signal for a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) operation; generate complex weights; generate feed signals based on the input signal and the complex weights; and provide the feed signals to the antenna elements so that the MIMO operation uses at least two antenna elements from two different antennas.

A device comprising:
- antennas, each antenna comprising antenna elements;
- and
- a signal processor;
- wherein the signal processor is configured to:
- receive an input signal for a multiple-input multiple-output, MIMO, operation;
- generate complex weights;
- generate feed signals based on the input signal and the complex weights;
- and
- provide the feed signals to the antenna elements so that the MIMO operation uses at least two antenna elements from two different antennas.
