Abstract
Protecting in-memory configuration state registers. A request to access an in-memory configuration state register, such as a read or write request, is obtained. The in-memory configuration state register is mapped to memory. Error correction code of the memory is used to protect the access to the in-memory configuration state register.
Claims20
A computer program product for facilitating processing within a computing environment, the computer program product comprising:
- a computer readable storage medium readable by a processing circuit and storing instructions for performing a method comprising:
- obtaining a request to access an in-memory configuration state register, the in-memory configuration state register being mapped to memory;
- and
- using error correction code of the memory to protect the access to the in-memory configuration state register.
A computer system for facilitating processing within a computing environment, the computer system comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor in communication with the memory, wherein the computer system is configured to perform a method, said method comprising:
- obtaining a request to access an in-memory configuration state register, the in-memory configuration state register being mapped to memory;
- and
- using error correction code of the memory to protect the access to the in-memory configuration state register.
A computer-implemented method of facilitating processing within a computing environment, the computer-implemented method comprising:
- obtaining a request to access an in-memory configuration state register, the in-memory configuration state register being mapped to memory;
- and
- using error correction code of the memory to protect the access to the in-memory configuration state register.
