Abstract
The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to systems, methods and devices for augmented reality (AR) devices and scan overlays for use in myriad applications, such as in industrial and power point applications These implementations involve the use of scanning devices for recording data for later access via tags distributed around an environment, such as an industrial facility or power plant.

An augmented reality system, comprising:
- (a) a scanning device constructed and arranged to generate scan data;
- (b) one or more tags disposed within an environment;
- (c) a storage medium in communication with the scanning device;
- and
- (d) a display, in communication with the storage medium,
- wherein:
- one or more tags are scanned by the scanning device;
- scanning data is generated and stored in the storage medium;
- and
- an augmented reality overlay is displayed on the display.

An augmented reality system, comprising:
- (a) a device;
- (b) one or more tags disposed within an environment;
- and
- (c) a storage medium comprising scan data for the environment;
- wherein:
- (i) the device scans the environment and the one or more tags;
- (ii) the device validates the scan and retrieves corresponding scan data from the storage medium;
- and
- (iii) an augmented reality image is generated.
