Zone based soft resource partitioning for high reliability high range communication (hrhrc)

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• means for determining, based at least in part on a location of the apparatus and a type of traffic associated with the apparatus, whether to use a first set of resources or a second set of resources for communications between the apparatus and at least one wireless device;
• and
• means for communicating with the at least one wireless device on the first set of resources or the second set of resources, in accordance with the determination, wherein the communications involve the type of traffic.

A computer-readable medium having computer executable code stored thereon for wireless communications by a first wireless device, the computer executable code comprising:

• code for determining, based at least in part on a location of the first wireless device and a type of traffic associated with the first wireless device, whether to use a first set of resources or a second set of resources for communications between the first wireless device and at least one second wireless device;
• and
• code for communicating with the at least one second wireless device on the first set of resources or the second set of resources, in accordance with the determination, wherein the communications involve the type of traffic.
