Abstract
An aircraft communication system is disclosed. The system includes one or more communication devices, an on-board hub, an amplifier, a data antenna, and a base station. The on-board hub prioritizes the information flow of the one or more communication devices. The communication system includes a controller to detect and mitigate signal oscillations of the amplifier.
Claims20
An aircraft communication system, comprising a first communication device and a second communication device on the aircraft;
- an on-board hub communicatively connected to the first communication device and the second communication device;
- an amplifier communicatively connected to the on-board hub;
- and
- a data antenna communicatively connected to the amplifier;
- wherein, the on-board hub prioritizes communication requests from the first communication device and the second communication device.
2 more elements
An aircraft communication system, comprising
- an on-board hub communicatively connected to the first communication device and the second communication device;
- an amplifier communicatively connected to the on-board hub;
- a data antenna communicatively connected to the amplifier;
- a signal detector that samples a signal of the amplifier;
- and
- a controller connected with the signal detector, the controller being configured to analyze samples of the signal taken by the signal detector, the controller determining a signal ratio of the signal sampled, the controller determining whether a parasitic oscillation is occurring in the amplifier based on the signal ratio.
- wherein, the on-board hub prioritizes communication requests from the first communication device and the second communication device.
