Abstract
A terminal crimping method includes covering an end portion of an electric wire with a fixing cylinder portion of a terminal including a flange portion which protrudes toward an outer periphery and which has at least one notch along a radial direction, caulking and crimping the fixing cylinder portion by a pair of dies including pressing projections, and caulking the fixing cylinder portion by the pressing projections to form crimp recess portions, in the caulking and crimping the fixing cylinder portion.
Claims8
A terminal crimping method comprising:
- covering an end portion of an electric wire with a fixing cylinder portion of a terminal including a flange portion which protrudes toward an outer periphery and which has at least one notch along a radial direction;
- caulking and crimping the fixing cylinder portion by a pair of dies including pressing projections;
- and
- caulking the fixing cylinder portion by the pressing projections to form crimp recess portions, in the caulking and crimping the fixing cylinder portion.

A terminal crimping structure comprising:
- an electric wire;
- and
- a terminal,
- wherein the terminal includes a fixing cylinder portion of the terminal including a flange portion which protrudes toward an outer periphery and which covers an end portion of the electric wire,
- wherein the fixing cylinder portion is caulked and crimped,
- wherein the flange portion has at least one notch along a radial direction, and
- wherein crimp recess portions are formed in the fixing cylinder portion which is calked.
