Abstract
A method of wireless communications performed by a UE is provided. The method includes: receiving a DCI with a CRC scrambled by a P-RNTI from a base station; checking an SI modification bit in a short message in the DCI when a short message indicator in the DCI indicates that both scheduling information for paging and the short message are present in the DCI; and performing an SI acquisition procedure when the SI modification bit is set in the short message.
Claims20
A method of wireless communications performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- receiving a downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a paging radio network temporary identifier (P-RNTI) from a base station;
- checking a system information (SI) modification bit in a short message in the DCI when a short message indicator in the DCI indicates that both scheduling information for paging and the short message are present in the DCI;
- and
- performing an SI acquisition procedure when the SI modification bit is set in the short message.
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- one or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the one or more non-transitory computer-readable media, and configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to:
- receive a downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a paging radio network temporary identifier (P-RNTI) from a base station;
- check a system information (SI) modification bit in a short message in the DCI when a short message indicator in the DCI indicates that both scheduling information for paging and the short message are present in the DCI;
- and
- perform an SI acquisition procedure when the SI modification bit is set in the short message.
