Abstract
Disclosed are a method of encoding a video, including determining a motion vector resolution of a current block, determining a motion vector of the current block according to the motion vector resolution of the current block, predicting and encoding current block using a motion vector of the current block, and encoding information on the motion vector resolution of the current block.
Claims15
A method of encoding a video, the method comprising:
- determining a motion vector resolution of a current block;
- determining a motion vector of the current block according to the motion vector resolution of the current block;
- predicting and encoding the current block using the motion vector of the current block;
- and
- encoding information on the motion vector resolution of the current block.
A video decoding method of adaptively determining motion vector resolution of a current block and decoding the current block, the method comprising:
- extracting information on the motion vector resolution of the current block from a bitstream and determining the motion vector resolution of the current block based on the information on the motion vector resolution of the current block;
- and
- predicting and decoding the current block using the motion vector of the current block determined according to the motion vector resolution of the current block.
A video decoding apparatus for adaptively determining motion vector resolution of a current block and decoding the current block, the apparatus comprising:
- a motion vector resolution decoder configured to extract information on the motion vector resolution of the current block from a bitstream and to determine the motion vector resolution of the current block based on the information on the motion vector resolution of the current block;
- and
- an image decoder configured to predict and decode the current block using the motion vector of the current block determined according to the motion vector resolution of the current block.
