Configurable Modes For Lighting Systems

A switch for controlling a communication protocol of a luminaire, the switch comprising:

• a first position;
• and
• a second position,
• wherein the first position corresponds to a first communication mode that uses a first communication protocol for communicating with a first component external to the luminaire, and wherein the second position corresponds to a second communication mode that uses a second communication protocol for communicating with a second component external to the luminaire.

A luminaire comprising:

• a plurality of light sources that emit a plurality of lumen outputs;
• and
• a switch coupled to the plurality of light sources,
• wherein the switch has a first position and a second position, wherein the switch, when in the first position, controls the plurality of light sources to emit a first lumen output of the plurality of lumen outputs, and wherein the switch, when in the second position, controls the plurality of light sources to emit a second lumen output of the plurality of lumen outputs.
