Abstract
Binder for injection moulding composition including: from 45 to 50 volume percent of a polymeric base, at least 34 volume percent of a mixture of waxes or a mixture of wax and palm oil, and from 11 to 16 volume percent of a surfactant, wherein the polymeric base contains ethylene and methacrylic or acrylic acid copolymers, or ethylene copolymers comprising a maleic anhydride or a mixture of such copolymers, in addition to polyethylene, polypropylene and an acrylic resin, the respective quantities of the binder components being such that added together, they do not exceed 100 volume percent.
Claims9
A binder composition, comprising:
- from 45 to 50 volume percent of a polymeric base,
- at least 34 volume percent of a mixture of waxes or a mixture of at least one wax and palm oil, and
- from 11 to 16 volume percent of a surfactant,
- wherein the polymeric base comprises ethylene and methacrylic or acrylic acid copolymers, or ethylene copolymers comprising a maleic anhydride or a mixture of said copolymers, in addition to polyethylene, polypropylene and an acrylic resin, respective quantities of the binder components being such that added together, a total amount of the binder components do not exceed 100 volume percent.
An injection moulding composition, comprising:
- 70 to 80 volume percent of a metal powder and
- 20 to 30 volume percent of a binder composition
- wherein the binder composition comprises:
- from 45 to 50 volume percent of a polymeric base,
- at least 34 volume percent of a mixture of waxes or a mixture of at least one wax and palm oil,
- and from 11 to 16 volume percent of a surfactant,
- wherein the polymeric base comprises ethylene and methacrylic or acrylic acid copolymers, or ethylene copolymers comprising a maleic anhydride or a mixture of said copolymers, in addition to polyethylene, polypropylene and an acrylic resin, respective quantities of the binder components being such that added together, a total amount of the component do not exceed 100 volume percent.
