Abstract
Provided is a glycoluril ring-containing organosilicon compound having 4 organoxysilyl groups to form silanol groups capable of covalently bonding with hydroxyl groups on an inorganic material surface. The compound imparts mechanical strength and adhesion to an organic/inorganic composite material.

A glycoluril ring-containing organosilicon compound having the general formula (1):
- wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each a group having the general formula (2):
- —R7—SiR8n(OR9)3−n (2)
- wherein R17 is a substituted or unsubstituted C3-C6 divalent hydrocarbon group, R8 and R9 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 monovalent hydrocarbon group, and n is an integer of 0 to 2,
- R5 and R6 are each independently hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 monovalent hydrocarbon group.
