Claims23
A composite fabric comprising:
- a polypropylene spunmelt medium bonded nonwoven web, the nonwoven fabric having a basis weight of 8 gsm to 40 gsm;
- and
- a carded nonwoven web comprising 40 wt % to 70 wt % staple polyester fibers, 5 wt % to 50 wt % hydrophobic cotton fibers and 5 wt % to 50 wt % polyethylene-polypropylene bicomponent fibers, the carded nonwoven web having a basis weight of 7 gsm to 50 gsm, the nonwoven web being bonded with the carded nonwoven web by hydroentanglement.
A method of forming a composite fabric, comprising:
- forming a polypropylene spunmelt medium bonded nonwoven web, the nonwoven fabric having a basis weight of 8 gsm to 40 gsm;
- forming a carded nonwoven web comprising 40 wt % to 70 wt % staple polyester fibers, 5 wt % to 50 wt % hydrophobic cotton fibers and 5 wt % to 50 wt % polyethylene-polypropylene bicomponent fibers, the carded nonwoven web having a basis weight of 7 gsm to 50 gsm;
