A method for preventing or treating pulmonary collagen deposition or fibrosis in a subject, comprising administering an effective amount of plasminogen to the subject, wherein the subject is susceptible to pulmonary fibrosis, has a tendency of pulmonary fibrosis, or suffers from other diseases accompanied by pulmonary fibrosis.
