Abstract
The present disclosure relates to pharmaceutical compositions capable of regulating elastic fiber. The disclosure further relates to methods of treating elastic fiber-related disorders, such as COPD, by inhalation of low-molecular weight hyaluronic acid.
Claims17
A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- hyaluronic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the hyaluronic acid has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of about 50 to about 1000 kDa;
- and
- a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
A method for treating an elastic fiber-related disorder in a subject, comprising administering to the subject hyaluronic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the hyaluronic acid has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of about 50 to about 1000 kDa.
