Disclosed herein are inclusion complexes comprising vilazodone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and an inclusion material, compositions and pharmaceutical formulations comprising the inclusion complexes, and methods for preparing the inclusion complexes, compositions or pharmaceutical formulations.

A composition comprising an inclusion complex comprising an active ingredient included in an inclusion material, wherein the active ingredient is vilazodone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A composition comprising an active ingredient and an inclusion material, wherein the active ingredient is vilazodone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and wherein at least about 50% of the active ingredient is contained in inclusion complexes comprising the active ingredient and the inclusion material.
