Abstract
A connector includes a connector body and a tubular member. The connector body includes a first end and a second end such that the connector body forms an inner annular chamber for receiving the cable. The tubular member is connected to the first end of the connector body, and the tubular member bends and flexes relative to the connector body.
Claims6
A connector comprising:
- a connector body having a first through bore;
- a front nut having a second through bore, the front nut being configured to be coupled with a port of a fiber node;
- and
- a flexible duct having a first end coupled with the connector body and a second end connected to the front nut, the flexible duct having a third through bore,
- wherein the flexible duct is rotatable relative to the connector body and the front nut,
- wherein the first, second, and third through bores provide a continuous bore through the connector, and
- wherein the connector body is configured to receive a multi-fiber cable and breakout cables from the multi-fiber cable that extend through the flexible duct and the front nut for coupling with a fiber optic connection at the fiber node.
A fiber optic connector comprising:
- a connector body with a first end and a second end, the connector body forming an inner annular chamber that is configured to receive the cable,
- a flexible duct connected to the first end of the connector body, the flexible duct being configured to bend and flex relative to the connector body.
The connector according to claim 5, wherein a portion of the flexible duct axially overlaps with a portion of the connector body along a longitudinal axis of the connector body and another portion of the flexible duct axially overlaps with a portion of the retaining sleeve.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
