Srs carrier based switching on unlicensed bands

A User Equipment device, UE, for a wireless system, comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• at least one processor;
• and
• memory comprising instructions executable by the at least one processor whereby the UE is operable to:
• perform uplink Listen-Before-Talk, LBT, on one or more candidate carriers for switched carrier Sounding Reference Signal, SRS, transmission;
• and
• perform a switched carrier SRS transmission on at least one candidate carrier of the one or more candidate carriers that is determined to be available as a result of performing the uplink LBT on the one or more candidate carriers.

A User Equipment device, UE, for a wireless system, comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• at least one processor;
• and
• memory comprising instructions executable by the at least one processor whereby the UE is operable to:
• receive an indication of a Sounding Reference Signal, SRS, switching opportunity from a network node;
• and
• perform one or more switched carrier SRS transmissions in accordance with the indication of the SRS switching opportunity.
