Abstract
A method for performing access barring includes receiving barring parameters, modifying a subset of the barring parameters associated with an access class barring type, and forwarding the modified subset of the barring parameters to a remote device.

A method for performing access barring, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a relay device, barring parameters;
- modifying, by the relay device, a subset of the barring parameters associated with an access class barring type;
- and
- forwarding, by the relay device, the modified subset of the barring parameters to a remote device.

A relay device adapted to perform access barring, the relay device comprising:
- a non-transitory memory storage comprising instructions;
- and
- one or more processors in communication with the memory storage, wherein the one or more processors execute the instructions to:
- receive barring parameters,
- modify a subset of the barring parameters associated with an access class barring type, and
- forward the modified subset of the barring parameters to a remote device.

The relay device of claim ii, wherein the non-service related type comprises at least one of access class barring or enhanced access class barring.
A method for performing access barring, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a relay device, barring parameters in system information blocks;
- modifying, by the relay device, a subset of the barring parameters associated with a non-service related access class barring type;
- and
- forwarding, by the relay device, the modified subset of the barring parameters to a remote device.
