Polymorphic virtualized network function

An apparatus, comprising:

• at least one processor, and at least one memory comprising a computer program code, wherein the at least one memory and the computer program code are configured, with the at least one processor, to cause a network element of a wireless network to perform operations comprising:
• causing an allocation of a first resource set to an entity comprising at least a first virtual network function, a second virtual network function and a virtual control function for controlling virtual network functions of said entity,
• wherein at least a subset of the first resource set provides the first virtual network function,
• and wherein another subset of the allocated first resource set or a second resource set allocated to said entity provides resources for said second virtual network function.
