Method for reporting channel state in wireless communication system, and device therefor

A user equipment (UE) configured to perform various types of operation based on a channel status information-reference signal (CSI-RS) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

• a RF unit;
• a processor coupled with the RF unit and configured to:
• receive a CSI-RS configuration from a network using the RF unit, wherein the CSI-RS configuration informs the processor at least one or more of a first type operation calculating a CSI based on a measurement of the CSI-RS, and a second type operation for beam management (BM);
• report the CSI to the network using the RF unit based on the first type operation in response the CSI-RS configuration informs the UE of the first type operation;
• and
• perform beam management based on the second type operation for BM using the CSI-RS configuration in response the CSI-RS configuration informs the UE of the second type operation, wherein the CSI-RS configuration informing the UE of the second type operation includes information on a number of antenna ports and a density of the CSI-RS;
• and
• a memory coupled with the processor and configured to store the CSI-RS configuration.

A method for a network apparatus transmitting a channel status information-reference signal (CSI-RS) to a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

• transmitting a CSI-RS configuration to the UE, wherein the CSI-RS configuration informs the UE at least one or more of a first type operation calculating a CSI based on a measurement of the CSI-RS, and a second type operation for beam management (BM);
• receiving the CSI from the UE based on the first type operation in response the CSI-RS configuration informs the UE of the first type operation;
• and
• managing one or more beams based on the second type operation of the UE for BM in response the CSI-RS configuration informs the UE of the second type operation,
• wherein the CSI-RS configuration informing the UE of the second type operation includes information on a number of antenna ports and a density of the CSI-RS.

A network apparatus transmitting a channel status information-reference signal (CSI-RS) to a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the apparatus comprising:

• a RF unit;
• a processor coupled with the RF unit and configured to:
• transmit a CSI-RS configuration to the UE using the RF unit, wherein the CSI-RS configuration informs the UE at least one or more of a first type operation calculating a CSI based on a measurement of the CSI-RS, and a second type operation for beam management (BM);
• receive the CSI from the UE based on the first type operation in response the CSI-RS configuration informs the UE of the first type operation;
• and
• manage one or more beams based on the second type operation of the UE for BM in response the CSI-RS configuration informs the UE of the second type operation, wherein the CSI-RS configuration informing the UE of the second type operation includes information on a number of antenna ports and a density of the CSI-RS;
• and
• a memory coupled with the processor and configured to store the CSI-RS configuration.
