Electrode assembly and manufacturing method therefor

A method of manufacturing an electrode assembly for a battery, including:

• a process of preparing a cathode including a cathode current collector and a cathode active material layer formed in a predetermined area on at least one side of the cathode current collector;
• and
• a process of preparing an anode including an anode current collector and an anode active material layer formed in a predetermined area on at least one side of the anode current collector,
• wherein
• at least one of the cathode and the anode further includes an insulation layer that is formed covering the active material layer, and further including:
• a process of forming the cathode in a predetermined shape by punching;
• a process of forming the anode in a predetermined shape by punching;
• and,
• a process of performing a second punching on at least one of the cathode and the anode formed in a predetermined shape in a section where a peripheral edge of the cathode and a peripheral edge of the anode are adjacent when the cathode and the anode are facingly positioned in a method in which the height of a burr is suppressed as compared with the punching;
• and
• a process of facingly positioning the cathode and the anode after the second punching.
