Method and device for suppressing acoustic interference signals resulting from the operation of a motor- vehicle drive unit

Method for suppressing acoustic interfering signals (5), introduced into a passenger compartment (4) of the motor vehicle (2), resulting from the operation of an on-board drive unit (3), by means of at least one artificially-generated acoustic counter-signal (6), defined through at least one counter-signal parameter, including the following steps:

• detecting at least one physical size in the passenger compartment (4) of the motor vehicle (2),
• generating at least one detection information describing the at least one detected physical size in the passenger compartment (4) of the motor vehicle (2),
• selection of at least one counter-signal parameter influencing the acoustic counter-signal (6), depending upon the physical size described through the detection information, and/or
• adaptation of at least one counter-signal parameter influencing the acoustic counter-signal (6), depending upon the physical size described through the detection information,
• generating an acoustic counter-signal (6) on the basis of the at least one selected counter-signal parameter and/or on the basis of the at least one adapted counter-signal parameter, and
• outputting the generated acoustic counter-signal (6) into the passenger compartment (4) of the motor vehicle (2) to suppress acoustic interfering signals (5), introduced into the passenger compartment (4) of the motor vehicle (2), resulting from the operation of the on-board drive unit (3).
