Methods and systems for determining quality of an oocyte

A method for determining quality of an oocyte, comprising:

• retrieving, from one or more databases, a set of images related to a plurality of oocytes and associated reproductive milestone data, wherein the fertilization data indicates whether the oocyte was fertilized or not, wherein there are plurality of images in the set of images associated with each of the plurality of oocytes;
• extracting features from the set of images and correlating the features, using artificial intelligence, with whether the oocyte was fertilized or not;
• receiving an image of a potential oocyte;
• and
• determining, using one or more processors, likelihood of reaching each of the reproductive milestones of the potential oocyte based on the extracted features and the image of the potential oocyte, wherein determining likelihood of fertilization comprises:
• extracting target oocyte features from the image of the potential oocyte;
• comparing target oocyte features with the extracted features;
• and
• outputting a result based on the comparison and the correlation.
