Method for providing an electrically conductive power transmission interface, interface-forming device and use of a cold spraying apparatus for forming a power transmission interface

An interface-forming device (x60) for providing an electrically conductive power transmission interface (x30) on the end surface of a power cable (xOO) having at least two separate wires (x02) being electrically conductive, the cable (xOO) further comprising a reactive compound different from the wires (x02) for providing further features to the power cable (xOO), the apparatus comprising:

• affixing means for providing an end section of said power cable (xOO), said end section comprising wires (x02) having wire ends, the end section further having said reactive compound, and
• deposition means (x61) connected to said affixing means, the deposition means (x61) adapted to bring electrically conductive particulates (x67A) dispersed in a nonadhering carrier fluid of a different material than said particulates into contact with said end section, successively adding the electrically conductive particulates (x67A) onto the end section.

A method, comprising:

• using a cold spraying apparatus for forming a power transmission interface (x30) on a power cable (xOO) having at least two wires (x02) and a reactive compound.
