Image processing apparatus associating with external apparatus, control method, and storage medium

An image processing apparatus comprising:

• a network interface that transmits image data to a set transmission destination;
• a user interface that sets whether to permit inputting a new transmission destination using a keyboard of the image processing apparatus;
• and
• a controller that controls the image processing apparatus to set, based on a destination set on an external device, the transmission destination to which the image data to be sent,
• wherein the controller permits the image processing apparatus to set the transmission destination based on the destination set on the external device if it is set by the user interface to permit inputting the new destination using the keyboard of the image processing apparatus, and
• wherein the controller inhibits setting of the transmission destination based on the destination set on the external device if it is set by the user interface not to permit inputting the new destination using the keyboard of the image processing apparatus.

A control method for controlling an image processing apparatus which has a network interface that transmits image data to a set transmission destination, the control method:

• setting whether to permit inputting a new transmission destination using a keyboard of the image processing apparatus;
• permitting the image processing apparatus to set the transmission destination to which the image data is transmitted based on a destination set on the external device if it is set by the user interface to permit inputting the new destination using the keyboard of the image processing apparatus;
• and
• inhibiting setting of the transmission destination based on the destination set on the external device if it is set by the user interface not to permit inputting the new destination using the keyboard of the image processing apparatus.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium for storing instructions, that when executed, performs a method for controlling an image processing apparatus which has a network interface that transmits image data to a set transmission destination, the method comprising:

• setting whether to permit inputting a new transmission destination using a keyboard of the image processing apparatus;
• permitting the image processing apparatus to set the transmission destination to which the image data is transmitted based on a destination set on the external device if it is set by the user interface to permit inputting the new destination using the keyboard of the image processing apparatus;
• and
• inhibiting setting of the transmission destination based on the destination set on the external device if it is set by the user interface not to permit inputting the new destination using the keyboard of the image processing apparatus
