Abstract
A display apparatus includes: a display device; a touch detection device; and a driver unit driving the display device so as to sequentially display M horizontal lines in each of plural unit drive periods forming one frame period and driving the touch detection device in N touch detection periods provided in each unit drive period, in which N is lower than M.
Claims16
A display device comprising:
- a display function layer;
- pixel electrodes arranged in a row-column configuration;
- drive electrodes overlapping the pixel electrodes;
- a driver unit configured to the drive the pixel electrodes and the drive electrodes to display images and to detect a touch;
- and
- a control unit configured to cause the driver unit to:
- divide a frame in which an image is displayed by all of the pixel electrodes into a plurality of display periods, the display period being a period in which the drive electrodes are driven as a common electrode to the pixel electrodes:
- and
- provide a touch period between the display periods, the touch detection period being a period in which the drive electrode is driven to detect a touch,
- wherein the driver unit is further configured to:
- during the display period, apply a DC drive signal as the common signal to all the drive electrodes,
- during the touch period, apply an AC driving signal to the drive electrode, the AC signal applied in a first touch period is different from the AC signal applied in a second touch period next to the first touch period.
9 more elements
The display device according to claim 12, further comprising touch detection electrodes above the drive electrodes,
- wherein capacitances are formed between the touch detection electrodes and the drive electrodes respectively. 14 The display device according to claim 13, wherein the drive electrodes lengthen in one direction of the column direction and the line direction, and the touch detection electrodes lengthen in other direction.
