Bearing housing and rolling bearing device

A bearing housing comprising:

• a cylindrical inner circumferential surface having an inner side, on which an outer ring of a rolling bearing is fitted into the inner circumferential surface coaxially with the inner circumferential surface;
• and
• an end face formed continuously with an axial end of the inner circumferential surface in an orientation perpendicular to a central axis of the inner circumferential surface, wherein
• the inner circumferential surface has an annular groove radially outwardly recessed around an entire circumference of the inner circumferential surface at a position away from the end face in an axial direction on a side of the end face relative to the rolling bearing,
• a snap ring is attached into the annular groove to reduce displacement of the rolling bearing toward the end face, and
• a recess recessed in the axial direction and extending in a radial direction is provided in the end face to suppress interference between the end face and a setting tool for use in attaching the snap ring.
