Abstract
The present disclosure provides binding agents, such as antibodies, that specifically bind Angiopoietin-like protein 8 (ANGPTL8), including human ANGPTL8, and methods of their use.

An antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically binds human ANGPTL8, which comprises:
- (a) a heavy chain CDR1 comprising GYTFTDYTIH (SEQ ID NO:11), a heavy chain CDR2 comprising WFYPGSDNIKYNAKFKD (SEQ ID NO:16), and a heavy chain CDR3 comprising HEAFSYYDVAWFAY (SEQ ID NO:21);
- and
- a light chain CDR1 comprising RSSQSLVHSNGNTYLH (SEQ ID NO:25), a light chain CDR2 comprising TVSNRFS (SEQ ID NO:29), and a light chain CDR3 comprising SQTTHFPYT (SEQ ID NO:32);
- (b) a heavy chain CDR1 comprising GYTFTDYTIH (SEQ ID NO:11), a heavy chain CDR2 comprising WFYPGSDNIKFNAKFRD (SEQ ID NO:37), and a heavy chain CDR3 comprising HEAFYVYDVAWFAN (SEQ ID NO:38);
- and
- a light chain CDR1 comprising RSSQSLVHSNGNTYLH (SEQ ID NO:25), a light chain CDR2 comprising TVSNRFS (SEQ ID NO:29), and a light chain CDR3 comprising SQSTHFPYT (SEQ ID NO:41);
- or
- (c) a heavy chain CDR1 comprising GYTFTDYTIH (SEQ ID NO:11);
- a heavy chain CDR2 comprising WFYPGSDNIKYNEKFKD (SEQ ID NO:46), and a heavy chain CDR3 comprising HEAYYVYDVAWFAY (SEQ ID NO:48);
- and
- a light chain CDR1 comprising SSSQSLVHSNGNTFLH (SEQ ID NO:52), a light chain CDR2 comprising TVSNRFS (SEQ ID NO:29) and a light chain CDR3 comprising SQSTHFPYT (SEQ ID NO:41).
An antibody that specifically binds ANGPTL8, which comprises a heavy chain of SEQ ID NO:64 and a light chain of SEQ ID NO:65.
An antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically binds ANGPTL8, which comprises heavy chain CDR1, CDR2, and CDR3, and light chain CDR1, CDR2, and CDR3 from:
- (a) the antibody designated 1E5 that comprises a heavy chain variable region comprising SEQ ID NO:35 and a light chain variable region comprising SEQ ID NO:36;
- (b) the antibody designated 1E9 that comprises a heavy chain variable region comprising SEQ ID NO:44 and a light chain variable region comprising SEQ ID NO:45;
- or
- (c) the antibody designated 1A8 that comprises a heavy chain variable region comprising SEQ ID NO:56 and a light chain variable region comprising SEQ ID NO:57.
