Automated work piece positioning and measurement data processing tools

A work piece positioning system comprising:

• a guide rail assembly structured for connection to an item of work piece processing equipment, the guide rail assembly comprising:
• a series of guide rail segments modularly connectable together within the guide rail assembly,
• at least one of the connectable guide rail segments having a measurement pattern positioned on a portion thereof;
• and
• a carriage assembly structured for slidable engagement with at least a portion of the guide rail of the guide rail assembly, the carriage assembly comprising:
• a controller configured for wireless data communication with at least one mobile computing device, and
• a stop block.

A work piece positioning system comprising:

• a guide rail assembly structured for connection to an item of work piece processing equipment, the guide rail assembly comprising:
• at least one guide rail, and
• a measurement pattern positioned on at least a portion of at least one guide rail;
• and
• a carriage assembly structured for slidable engagement with at least a portion of the guide rail of the guide rail assembly, the carriage assembly comprising:
• a controller configured for wireless data communication with at least one mobile computing device, and
• a stop block.
