Abstract
A vibrational injection apparatus suitable for use in a system for removal, delivery and/or transplantation of body tissues and other substances in medical procedures may include an apparatus housing. A vibration mechanism may be provided in the apparatus housing. A material injector may be provided in the apparatus housing and mechanically coupled to the vibration mechanism. An injection cannula may be disposed in fluid communication with the material injector.
Claims20
A vibrational injection apparatus, comprising:
- an apparatus housing;
- a vibration mechanism in the apparatus housing;
- a material injector in the apparatus housing and mechanically coupled to the vibration mechanism;
- and
- an injection cannula disposed in fluid communication with the material injector.

A vibrational injection apparatus, comprising:
- an apparatus housing including:
- a vibration mechanism compartment;
- and
- an injector compartment adjacent to the vibration mechanism compartment;
- a vibration mechanism in the vibration mechanism compartment of the apparatus housing, the vibration mechanism including:
- a vibration mechanism motor;
- a vibration shaft drivingly engaged for reciprocation by the vibration mechanism motor;
- an injector vibrating shaft engaged for reciprocation by the vibration shaft;
- a spring stop terminating the injector vibrating shaft;
- a driver mechanically engaged by the injector vibrating shaft, the driver including:
- a generally elongated driver bridge engaged for reciprocation by the vibration shaft;
- and
- a driver head terminating the driver bridge;
- and
- a driver return spring interposed between the driver bridge and the spring stop;
- a material injector in the injector compartment of the apparatus housing, the material injector including:
- at least one injection chamber;
- and
- a telescoping injector tube disposed in fluid communication with the at least one injection chamber, the injector tube mechanically coupled to the driver head on the driver of the vibration mechanism;
- and
- an injection cannula disposed in fluid communication with the injector tube.
