An automated weather related energy information system comprising:
- a. a server having a processor with a non-transitory computer readable medium connected to a network, and connected to weather stations portals and energy portals maintained by utilities companies;
- b. at least one structures defined by an address in communication with at least one smart meter mounted to or proximate the at least one structures defined by an address;
- c. at least one client device connected to the network for viewing at least two interactive graphs using conditioned harvested data produced by the server;
- wherein the non-transitory computer readable medium of the server comprises instructions, which when executed by a processor performs the steps of:
- i. crawling through the energy portals and temperature portals and harvests energy interval data and temperature interval data identified by the structure defined by an address forming harvested energy interval and temperature interval data;
- ii. conditioning the harvested energy interval and temperature interval data forming conditioned harvested data, wherein conditioning includes cleaning, indexing, and slicing;
- iii. generating groups of interactive graphs using conditioned harvested data;
- iv. displaying the groups of interactive graphs on an user interface 165;
- v. storing threshold values for alert reports;
- vi. storing energy metrics for the at least one structure defined by an address;
- vii. using a dynamic energy model that performs the steps of:
- (a) calculating energy metrics for each structure defined by an address for:
- (i) a last day of conditioned harvested data;
- (ii) a last six days of conditioned harvested data;
- and
- (iii) a last thirty five days of conditioned harvested data;
- (b) applying statistical modeling utilizing first and third quartile filtering to remove outliers from the last five same weekday days;
- (c) determining percent changes in energy metrics for each structure defined by an address for:
- (i) a last day of conditioned harvested data;
- (ii) a last six days of conditioned harvested data;
- and
- (iii) a last thirty five days of conditioned harvested data;
- and
- (d) comparing the percent change to stored threshold values, and if the percent change does not exceed the stored threshold values automatically generating a daily report and optionally generate an alert report to the client device for each structure defined by an address.
