A process that includes hydrocarbon separation and hydrocarbon conversion that uses non-condensable gas instead of steam to serve at least as one of a stripping medium, velocity fluid, combustion fuel, or power generation fuel, with or without heat transfer, the non-condensable gas included in both the hydrocarbon separation step and in the hydrocarbon conversion step of the process, the non-condensable gas comprising a non-condensable hydrocarbon gas at operating conditions or a natural gas with methane, to eliminate the use of steam ordinarily used in conventional similar processes, and enhancing overall energy efficiencies and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
