Abstract
A method and an apparatus for sharing content are provided. Information about at least one content is transmitted to an external device. Information about associated content that have been searched for by the external device based on the transmitted information about the at least one content is received from the external device. Content to share with a second user device are selected from among the associated content based on a predetermined condition. Information about the selected content is transmitted to the second user device.
Claims19
An electronic device comprising:
- a display;
- a communication interface;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- control the display to display an audio content list including a first audio content that is stored in the electronic device, wherein the first audio content is played by the electronic device;
- control the communication interface to transmit, to a server, first information about the first audio content stored in the electronic device;
- control the communication interface to receive, from the server, an indication indicating that a second audio content is stored in the server, wherein the second audio content stored in the server corresponds to second information that matches the first information about the first audio content stored in the electronic device, and the second audio content is downloaded or streamed by another electronic device that is connected to the server;
- and
- based on receiving the indication indicating that the second audio content is stored in the server, control the display to display the audio content list along with an indicator indicating that the second audio content is stored in the server,
- wherein a first size of the first audio content stored in the electronic device and a second size of the second audio content stored in the server are different.
A method of sharing audio content, the method being performed by an electronic device and comprising:
- displaying an audio content list including a first audio content that is stored in the electronic device, wherein the first audio content is played by the electronic device;
- transmitting, to a server, first information about the first audio content stored in the electronic device;
- receiving, from the server, an indication indicating that a second audio content is stored in the server, wherein the second audio content stored in the server corresponds to second information that matches the first information about the first audio content stored in the electronic device, and the second audio content is downloaded or streamed by another electronic device that is connected to the server;
- and
- based on receiving the indication indicating that the second audio content is stored in the server, displaying the audio content list along with an indicator indicating that the second audio content is stored in the server,
- wherein a first size of the first audio content stored in the electronic device and a second size of the second audio content stored in the server are different.
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon a program for causing a computer included in an electronic device to execute the method of:
- displaying an audio content list including a first audio content that is stored in the electronic device, wherein the first audio content is played by the electronic device;
- transmitting, to a server, first information about the first audio content stored in the electronic device;
- receiving, from the server, an indication indicating that a second audio content is stored in the server, wherein the second audio content stored in the server corresponds to second information that matches the first information about the first audio content stored in the electronic device, and the second audio content is downloaded or streamed by another electronic device that is connected to the server;
- and
- based on receiving the indication indicating that the second audio content is stored in the server, displaying the audio content list along with an indicator indicating that the second audio content is stored in the server,
- wherein a first size of the first audio content stored in the electronic device and a second size of the second audio content stored in the server are different.
