Abstract
A method of designing bifacial solar panels installations that does not rely on the use of all available space to maximize electrical output and return on investment. Instead, the design method relies the market meter rate of the business sector in the area to determine of the KW size of the array. This production is then converted to cost per square Area for use in evaluating the costs, predicting profits, and generating lease agreements. The tenant pays a contract cost per square Area regardless of actually energy consumption.
Claims14
A method for determine energy rent per square area, the method comprising:
- a. selecting, by a processor, the market meter rate;
- b. calculating, by the processor, a total system cost for a solar energy system based upon the equipment costs and the installation costs;
- c. selecting, by the processor, financial terms for financing the total system cost for the solar energy system;
- d. calculating, by the processor, a monthly total system cost based upon the total system cost for the solar energy system, the financial terms of the rate and the time of the obligation;
- e. calculating, by the processor, a common area factor based upon a common area square area and total square area;
- f. determining, by the processor, a usable square area;
- g. calculating, by the processor, a rentable square area based upon the common area factor and the usable square area;
- h. calculating, by the processor, a minimal solar rent based upon the monthly total system cost and the rentable square areas;
- i. calculating, by the processor, the solar rent based upon the market meter rate and a discount;
- j. generating, by the processor, a rental agreement based upon the rentable square area and the monthly energy costs to tenant by square area;
- whereby, solar rent is charged to the tenant based on the rentable square area.
A tangible computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations for determining the solar rent per square foot to be charge to a tenant, the operations comprising:
- a. selecting the market meter rate;
- b. calculating a total system cost for a solar energy system based upon the equipment costs and the installation costs;
- c. selecting financial terms for financing the total system cost for the solar energy system;
- d. calculating a monthly total system cost based upon the total system cost for the solar energy system, the financial terms of the rate and the time of the obligation;
- e. calculating a common area factor based upon a common area square area and total square area;
- f. determining a usable square area;
- g. calculating a rentable square area based upon the common area factor and the usable square area;
- h. calculating a minimal solar rent based upon the monthly total system cost and the rentable square areas;
- i. generating a rental agreement based upon the rentable square area and the monthly energy costs to tenant by square area.
