Systems and methods for pallet tracking using hub and spoke architecture

A computer-program product tangibly embodied in a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of a reader device, including instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

• receive, at the reader device affixed to a reader pallet, data associated with a tagged device affixed to a tagged pallet, wherein the data is received using a first communication protocol, and wherein the reader device is configured to communicate using the first communication protocol and a second communication protocol;
• repackage the data according to the second communication protocol;
• and
• transmit the data over the second communication protocol.

A reader device comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory coupled to the processor, the memory storing instructions which when executed by the processor, cause the device to perform operations including:
• receiving, at the reader device affixed to a reader pallet, data associated with a tagged device affixed to a tagged pallet, wherein the data is communicated using a first communication protocol, and wherein the reader device is configured to communicate using a first communication protocol and a second communication protocol;
• repackaging the data according to the second communication protocol;
• and
• transmitting the data over the second communication protocol.
